Local rock meets funk meets soul meets alternative outfit Creekside Strays are celebrating the release of a new album on May 4th. Following the release of a widely successful debut EP (‘Tiger Waltz’), this release should cement the Strays as a solid rock force in London

The Mountain, The Forest, The Earth (London)
“the mountain, the forest, the earth” is a lens through which you may see the world; the music is meant to challenge you with seeing your surroundings under a new light. Through video, lighting, earthy incense, and emotive performance; they will pull you in to their world, if only for a moment..

Drop32 (Hamilton)
Drop32 is a reggae rock, ska band out of London Ontario. Guitars, trumpet, viola, vinyl, and keys are among the many sounds expressed, and as a highly energetic 6-piece crew

Phoenix Down (London)
A couple of youtube videos give you a preview of this mysterious-ly awesome local outfit. Their lo-fi, guitar driven sound (with a touch of angst) will remind you of old Modest Mouse in the best kind of way.

Cousins (Halifax)
Amazingly intelligent pop rock from Halifax, but London is their second home. If you aren’t dancing and sweating during their set, you’re doing something wrong. Just listen to their song NANS, and see for yourself.

Cuff the Duke (Oshawa)
Cuff-the-fucking-Duke. Need I say any more? I mean they are one of Canada’s most respected bands and all, you’ve seen em once or twice before but NEVER at APK Live.

BA Johnston (Hamilton)
He’s baaaackkkkkkk. BA Johnston is an Alex P. Keaton alum, and puts on one of the funnest live shows around. His new album ‘Hi Dudes!’ was released on 02/23.

EVAN (Blind River / London)
Just some great Canadian tunes from a great Canadian guy, eating bagels. This is Evan Redsky from Single Mothers, and he writes some awesome songs about smoking, loving and juice (Justis Krar etc.).
